In recent days it has come to my attention that the campaign of Democratic Presidential HOPEful Barack Hussein Obama refuses to release his birth certificate for judicial or public scrutiny. This comes after John McCain was targeted for disqualification from candidacy for POTUS over his place of birth.
Republican Presidential nominee John McCain was born to an active duty military family on an American Military base in the Panama Canal Zone. Countless blogs can be found across the internet seeking to disqualify McCain as not being a “naturally born citizen” of the United States as the Constitution requires. This charge against McCain suggests a level of hostility the anti McCain crowd might have toward the United States Military, but nevertheless it was not too unreasonable of a question.
In order to lay this question to rest John McCain soldiered up and had his birth certificate submitted for review by the Senate who declared him a natural born citizen in April 2008. The “natural born citizen” Presidency requirement only applies to people who were not born American Citizens, not to naturally born citizens who happened to be born to servicemen in foreign territory.
Now there are calls for Obama to do the same and release his birth certificate for a similar review, but the Obama campaign has refused to comply. This Is not an unreasonable request in light of the knowledge that at least one of Barack Obama’s parents was known to be a citizen of a foreign country. Obama was also known to have been at least partially raised in Indonesia, and USAfricaOnline proudly asserts that Barrack was born in Kenya.
John McCain was required to undergo such scrutiny, why shouldn’t Obama? What could possibly be on Obama’s birth certificate that he does not want the courts or the public to know?
As far as I know there are only a few things listed on a birth certificate anyway. Wikipedia lists them as;
Birth name
Date and time of birth
Sex of the child
Place and/or location of birth
Names of the parents of the child
Occupations of parents of the child
Birth weight and length
Name of informant registering the birth
Date of registration of birth
A birth registration number or file number
Most of this is irrelevant to Obama’s presidential eligibility. The only information on a birth certificate that would really affect a persons presidential candidacy or support thereof regards his Birth name, Date of birth, Parents and Place of birth.
I doubt it has much to do with his name. He has a Muslim name, we know that. He used to be called Barry. Big whoop. Who cares? That fact has not seemed to negatively impact his campaign. A lot of Americans with foreign sounding names opt to go for an Anglocized version so as to better fit in with their peers. I knew a Mohammed who preferred to be called Mike and he was just running a café.
Likewise there are many people who were called by a shorter nickname in their youth or around their family but opt to use the full name or maybe even their other legal name instead. That’s just part of maturing and finding your own identity. My cousin was always called Cindy, but as she became an adult she now prefers to be called by the full Cynthia. I have another cousin whom the family calls by his middle name and his friends call him by his first name. It’s pretty meaningless in the realm of global politics.
Obama’s date of birth shouldn’t matter if he was born in any of the 57 or 60 states right? If Obama was born in Hawaii as we are led to believe he would have to have been born there before April 30, 1900 for that to even be an issue. I think it is pretty safe to say that Barack Obama is not actually 109 years old.
So as far as I can tell, that leaves us with only one more avenue to really speculate about, that being whether or not Barack Obama was actually born in Hawaii. This is a question that can only be answered by a judicial review of his birth certificate.
There is nothing wrong with requiring a candidate to prove his constitutional eligibility for the highest position of authority in our country and possibly the world. That is why there are requirements to begin with; to keep those who do not fit the parameters set from unlawfully obtaining power. Quite frankly I’m surprised that there is no policy in either party to require candidates to prove their constitutional eligibility to the office of the presidency before they are even allowed to seek their party’s nomination.
What reason could Barack Obama want to keep the information on his birth certificate a secret? We may never know. But if he is afraid for the American people to know the truth about his origins, that is a major red flag. If there is never a judicial review of Obama’s birth certificate, just as there has been for John McCain’s and this basic legal requirement is allowed to be undermined—for whatever reason—then the United States Constitution is truly dead.

Prove that YOUR an American. I have not seen your birth certificate either. And when your done, prove that I’m not related to you.
http://www.freewebs.com/the10thplanet
Are we sure he was born at all!
“Prove that YOUR an American. I have not seen your birth certificate either. And when your done, prove that I’m not related to you.”
I’m sure you mean “prove YOU’RE …” and “when you’re done …”
But as a matter of fact I can prove that I am an American. I have a birth certificate that says I was born in the United States to two American citizens. I was required to provide a copy of my birth certificate when I enlisted in the Navy in order to justify my eligibility for military service. Congress, the United States Naval Security Group and the FBI already have copies of my birth certificate on file if the issue ever becomes a genuine national concern. I’ve already proven my citizenship to this country when it was required of me to do so. Obama should do the same if he expects to lead the country and our military. I didn’t make up the law, it’s in the Constitution. You should consider reading it sometime.
As far as proving that you’re not related to me; that has nothing to do with anything. But it is a great example of the flimsy defenses and would-be red herrings you Obama Kool-aid drinkers like to use when the facts are against you.
Has anyone here seen his birth certificate?
STILL WAITING!!!!!!!!
Nice try pretending that anyone who disagrees with you loves Obama.
You’re as bad as those people who say you’re sexist if you don’t like Hillary.
I hate them all, but I don’t think starting rumors you can’t prove is going to help America.
Very unpatriotic if you ask me. Sounds like propaganda.
Hey Truthhurts,
Speaking of how the truth hurts, you’re an idiot. I see how quickly you resort to just being an argumentative ass when you’re obviously losing face in a debate. Note to you: That’s how you know you’re losing. So you were born in the constitution state, eh? Well lets see YOUR birth certificate then. And even if you were born there (which I doubt) it doesn’t mean you have the common sense to read and interpret the constitution correctly – which one can almost guarantee based on your comments here. Your reading comprehension must be near zero – your grammer and spelling certainly leaves something to be desired. Ah… back to ‘truth hurts’.
It’s it 100% reasonable for Obama to prove his eligibility for the presidency. And just because you don’t care about the law or whether or not he’s qualified, doesn’t mean the rest of us wish to be led like lemmings over the cliff with you.
Please grow up and stop embarrassing yourself with these pathetic comments. And use your spell check and grammar check for goodness sakes! Better than that, go back to your conspiracy theory websites and stay there.

Then you must be deaf. It’s a simple request for an eligibility check as required by the Constitution to answer a legitimate question that really should have been answered before Obama or McCain even sought the nomination.
Unlike you, I don’t hate Obama. I disagree with his politics. I disagree with Hillary’s and McCain’s politics too, but I don’t hate any of them. I prefer not to get so wrapped up in emotion that it clouds my reason.
The facts are that there is a Constitutional citizenship requirement for the office of the presidency that the Obama campaign refuses to prove their candidate meets. It’s not a rumor, it’s a legitimate Constitutional question based on the law and the absence of an eligibility check for Obama—nothing more, and nothing less.
I actually thought I was being too generous to Obama in this article, but his campaign invites speculation over what he must be concealing when they refuse to release a basic document that should be able to lay to rest the many inquiries regarding his eligibility. And barring a background check that answers the question of his constitutional eligibility for the office of president, he should be disqualified from candidacy. I had to provide evidence that I was a citizen to join the military; Obama needs to provide evidence that he is qualified to lead it. It’s not just a good idea. It’s the law.
To Truthhurts;
I deleted the comment Delia replied to as spam because of the vulgarity it contained. Otherwise I would have left it up. It was another good example of the incoherent irrationality of your entire perspective. I’m beginning to understand why I had to rescue your original comment from the spam queue to begin with.
Please take off the tin-foil hat. There are no Satanic-Jewish-Nazi-Lizard People from Cybertron controlling the world, just a bunch of selfish and often stupid people whose biggest problems stem from the fact that they CAN’T seem to work together—precisely the opposite of a conspiracy.
Do you mean that you were born in Connecticut the “constitution state?” Knowledge of the constitution comes from actually READING the document and then studying it and court cases surrounding it, referring to it often and applying it to real life situations. Simply being born in the US does not mean you are educated about the Constitution—not by being “born in the constitution state.” You don’t pick it up by osmosis. And even if you could, I’m sure your tin foil hat would prevent it from sinking in.
Sorry, but Hawaii didn’t have a laser printers in 1961. The Obama “certificate of live birth” is a forgery and is not really even a forgery of a birth certificate. Obama was born in Kenya and is not a native US citizen. Where is Hillary?
[...] Birth Certificate; Released to the Internet Posted on June 13, 2008 by lojah In my last post I discussed the Obama birth certificate story. It seems that Obama has now placed a copy of his [...]
Something needs to be done! There is no PROOF that Barack Hussein Obama is a naturalized citizen of the United States of America! By the words of the U.S. Constitution, he cannot and should not be the President of the United States. In fact., he should have never been allowed to campaign for the Democratic Nomination! I think someone needs to call Hillary Rodham Clinton and tell her to jump back in this race. If she does, I might even vote for her, and I’m a Republican. Hillary’s best chance: side with McCain behind closed doors to knock Obama out of the race, and then choose a second woman as your V.P. Heck, let’s let the women rule the roost for four years. Maybe something will get done the right way.
[...] Obama’s Birth Certificate; Is He a “Natural Born Citizen?” [...]
Hi!
Obama was born in Hawaii, so he’s a US citizen because of this.
ALSO, his mother was a US Citizen when he was born. It does NOT matter WHERE you were born, or what citizenship your 2nd parent is.
Obama is a “Natural Born Citizen” because of his mother’s US citizenship, AND because he was born in Hawaii.
cliff
GRB
Obama was born in Kenya. His mother was unable to fly back to Hawaii due to the late stage of her pregnancy. The so-called “certificate of live birth” that Obama produced is NOT an authentic certificate of birth. He’s not eligible to run for Dog Catcher let alone the highest office in the land.
The State of Hawaii only stated that it was in “possession” of Obama’s birth certificate, it did not release any details.
In order for them to make such a news release, that they were in “possession”, they would have had to have the express written permission from Obama himself.
Which begs the question;
Why not end all rumors and questions by producing the REAL birth certificate, rather than give your own website, Fight The Smears, or your former employer’s website, FactCheck.org a suspect Certificate of Live Birth?
Because Obama’s got plenty to hide.
Obama is only President elect after the Electoral College meets in December, and if the candidate in question is found to be of questionable citizenship, the Constitution, Amendment XX, Section 3 kicks in.

The “original verifiable” birth-certificate, when it is revealed by the proper authorities, will show that Obama is a citizen.
All this is just a desparate grasping at straws.
like “lipsitck on a pig.”
(and not a little sour grapes)
Do you think a professor of constitutional law would be stupid enough to lay it all on the line for a lie that is so easy to disprove? -and before you ‘rubutt’ to any of this you might look it all up on Snopes, or some similar website relating to urban myths.
Or don’t.
When the proper authorites determine the “real” birth-certificate shows Obama ia a citizen; there will be plenty of people who will refuse to believe it, as some don’t believe astronauts really landed on the moon. (It was all faked in a t.v. studio.)
It’s pathetic, and I don’t use that word lightly.
but: do go on.
(smiles)
Has he turned his birth certificate over to Judge Souter in the Supreme court
